MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Since its foundation in 1953, FUJIMOTO CHEMICALS CO., LTD. has developed business in production and sales of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates and thereby has played a role in maintaining and improving people's health. In recent years, the business environment of the pharmaceutical industry is changing both in Japan and overseas, which requires us to undergo　substantial changes to meet the demands of the times.
Pharmaceuticals have made a significant contribution to maintaining people's health and enriching their lives. Its evolution will continue along with advancement in medicine. In the aging society, people increasingly demand good health and better quality of life , and there is also growing necessary to meet Unmet Medical Needs. We aspire to offer solutions to these new challenges.
In order to achieve this goal, we must be a superior group, where every employee sets a high ideal and　keeps seeking progress. Our high-quality products, made by the employees who continue to exceed their limits, are as worth as well-known art masterpieces, and we believe that the products always satisfy our customers.
We constructed facilities for high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPIs) in 2008 to meet the needs of our customers, and a new plant with state-of-the-art facilities has been in operation since 2017. Driving continuous technological innovation, we will establish manufacturing facilities for the future and keep research, production, and quality assurance systems in line with requirements of the times. We will offer more added-values to our customers as a consultative and development-oriented contract manufacturer which can meet various needs.
